Excellent agronomic performance

A secondary tillage pass can be crucial for achieving a levelled surface, smooth operation of the sowing unit, and maximum effectiveness of soil herbicides. It also aids in creating an ideal seedbed, ensuring uniform emergence, and controlling weed seedlings to prevent interspecific competition. Give your crop the best chance to thrive while minimising risks with the Wil-Rich XL2 field cultivator.

The industry standard

Prepare a seedbed, mechanically control weeds, and incorporate fertiliser or herbicides with the Wil-Rich XL2 field cultivator. It’s engineered to produce a consistent field finish, so you can grow a more uniform crop. The Wil-Rich design has proven itself over many years of use, becoming known as the industry standard in field cultivators. The reliable A-hitch is the standard hitch style on the XL2 field cultivator. It includes a weight transfer kit, which shifts weight onto the hitch to improve towing stability.

Thorough tillage performance without plugging

To achieve consistent results with a field cultivator, every strip of soil must be thoroughly worked. The Wil-Rich XL2 field cultivator’s split-the-middle tine pattern is designed to ensure comprehensive soil tillage. Tines on each rank operate in the centre of the untilled area left by the preceding tines. This guarantees uniform tillage across the entire width of the machine. It also prevents residue windrowing and reduces plugging. Additionally, the design extends sweep life and ensures superior incorporation of fertilisers and chemicals.

SIngle spring

Single-spring tines for shallower depths and finer tillage

The single-spring tine option is perfect for shallower working depths and achieving finer tillage performance. It offers excellent ground-following capabilities with 68 kg of trip pressure, adjustable up to 90 kg for slightly deeper penetration.

Double spring

Double spring for tougher conditions and deeper tillage

The double-spring tine option is ideal for tougher ground conditions or deeper tillage requirements. It features a trip pressure of 136 kg, adjustable up to 181 kg. The additional down pressure ensures better penetration in hard-packed soil and is often utilised behind the tractor wheel tracks to alleviate compaction.

Gauge wheels engineered for better performance

The open design of the caster gauge wheels on the Wil-Rich XL2 helps prevent them from negatively affecting tillage performance. As a result, operators experience minimised plugging with greater stability both in the field and on the road. Additionally, they offer easy maintenance, allowing more time to be spent in the field.

Effortless single-point depth control

Need to adjust the tillage depth on the go? Single-point depth control allows operators to set the working depth for the entire implement from a single location, eliminating the need for manual adjustments at each gauge wheel. This feature can save significant time when fine-tuning tillage depth. It also encourages operators to make the necessary adjustments to achieve the desired tillage results.

*Manual gauge wheel adjustments required on 30-39 and 32-42.

Level lift hitch

XL2 models are equipped with the field-proven, time-tested level lift hitch, which transfers weight to the tractor. Designed for level field conditions, this hitch creates a planter-ready seedbed.

Choose Wil-Rich QX2 for uneven terrain

The primary difference between the QX2 and XL2 models is the hitch type. QX2 models are equipped with a floating hitch, ensuring precise depth control on uneven terrain.
